STILL WAITING ON SMART CARD ID FROM HOME AFFAIRS AFTER 7 WEEKS

I app**** for 1st time registration for my daughter at Std Bank Promenade Home Affairs on the 22July 2025 the service excellent and told us that the ID will be ready in 3weeks,we are still waiting 7 weeks after, we send emails and tried to call, we eventually got a reply "Dear Lewin Frans Thank you for writing into the Department of Home Affairs Contact Centre. Kindly be advised that this ID application is still received for manual document verifications and not finalised. Due to unforeseen internal processing delays, this application has taken longer than anticipated. However, we have escalated the case to the relevant section to expedite the process and assist with finalising the application. We've been following up with no response. Whats the point of opening up new Branches at the Banks but cant DELIVER!
