So disappointed and deeply hurt

I have been dealing with Home affairs for the past 3 years just to change my son's surname (***). In the first year iye was the waiting game and when it was finally done, his surname was spelled incorrectly that was the beginning of 2018. Ever since then I've been told different story I even had to go back to the Harrison office (JHB CBD) twice to fill in amendment forms cause they said they were never received now today I spoke to Monica in the contact centre following up on the previous update where I was promised that the person handling my case will call me back and was told yet another different story about records from my son's birth 13 years ago not being received from the hospital which I was never ever told for the past 3 years. I really feel that people working there don't understand the impact of their incompetency when capturing peoples information. My son is now known with a wrong surname he just started High school and can't even use his surname and yet people are just messing with people's lives he is now Mokena instead of Mokoena just because someone did not pay attention while doing their job and now my son is paying the price.
