Shocking Service from Home Affairs New Hannover

My boyfriend and I went over a month ago to have our passports renewed at the Home Affairs New Hannover branch. My passport was ready after 2 weeks but his was not. When I called after 3-4 weeks I was told that the passport was being printed and would be sent through. Almost 2 months later we call to follow up and the Department tells us that they are waiting for feedback from New Hannover - what feedback? No one can tell us! So now who do we follow up with? We need the passport and don't understand why one was done and the other has 2 different stories of what is happening!
