Second attempt to apply for first time ID document and sent home after sitting the entire day again because scanners are not working!!!!!

On the 31st of October 2018 we went to Home Affairs in Edenvale to apply for a first time ID document. After sitting there from 7am we were told at 3:30pm that the application couldn't be processed because the fingerprint machine was offline.

Today the 20th of November 2018 we go to Home Affairs in Wynberg and after sitting there the entire day we get told that the scanner is not working and we should leave because there's nothing they can do. Once again we have to take off from work to sit at home affairs the entire day only to be turned away after 3pm. Why do these systems conveniently shut down after 3??????

And to make matters worse the employees are rude and very unhelpful!!!!!!!
