On 30 December 2025 we had a 1pm appointment for a new ID card which we did online.

We had a MEANINGLESS appointment for 1pm but followed normal queues. We finished at 4.16pm and were informed that the cashier had closed at 4.00pm and we must return on the 31st December ....next day.

What a waste of time. In total about 10 of us were affected and begged to pay as we had traveled long distances. An elderly Indian lady had hired a car. We had no luck.

All the hype and publicity on TV was a waste of time that home affairs worked extended hours in the festive season.
