Sad mom😥😥

In January 2022 i went to apply for an iD for my son who was in matric. The ID i was applying for was a change of surname. So he currently has the ID with the old surname. Problem is the school allowed him to write his matric with the new surname.so since the year 2022 department of home affairs say that the ID is not ready and it been 2 years already. Im now having to deal with a deppressed child who cannot get a job or study all because home affairs is taking rediculouly long with his identity document. I have tried to contact them many times and every time I am told to check again in 2 weeks but still nothing. My son is loosing out on many opportunities and this has taken a huge toll on his mental health.
