Another horrible experience from the department of Home Affairs Akasia . I have since app**** for my child's ID on the 02/11/2020 and to date the ID has not been issued. When I went to the office/branch to query I was advised the application was done on a pilot system which they were trying out, it was done on a mobile office which was set at the branch. It has been six months since the application was done and we are not getting any satisfaction from the department. The applicant is a matriculant who needs to apply for tertiary but we cannot do anything without the ID. I have called their offices numerous times and they wouldn't answer. It is just a nightmare to deal with the department of Home Affairs.
