REFUSAL OF SERVICE IN KEMPTON PARK

Today, 23 August 2021, I visited the home affairs Kempton Park branch to register my child's birth and I was refused service. Firstly the security lady refused to give me the forms she was giving to other mothers because my proof of birth was stamped from Louis Pasteur Hospital, which is in Pretoria. She told me those are the instructions she received from inside that they only give to people that gave birth in Thembisa.

I then continues to wait in the line so I can get more information about this inside since I didn't understand why.

Eventually when they opened(09h00) the lady by the name Yolisa Mshweshwe, who is said to be the supervisor, confirmed that they only assist people that gave birth in Thembisa, irrespective of me staying in Kempton Park, she then walked away and left me there. I then enquired further with the coloured lady at the next counter why is that and she told me that's how it works, and that the system won't recognize the hospital if it's not in Tembisa. I was still in disbelief when Yolisa came back. I then asked the colored lady to please give me a letter stating what they are telling me so that I can enquire about his further, Yolisa from the next counter commented to say they won't do that. I continued to wait on the colored lady and her response also was, "you heard her (Yolisa) we don't do that". Unfortunately I didn't take her name down also and it's unfortunate that they don't wear name tags.

I was really unhappy with the service, especially after being there from 05H30, in the cold, so I could beat the long queues for early service, and still leave without the certificate.

Also if this is really the case, why is it not on the websites or in Black and White outside the offices?

I'm really displeased at how people behave when they go looking for work versus their behavior when they have it. Treating us like we forced you to come and help render the needed services to those in need.
