Publically Insulted by a Department of Home Affairs official

I wish to formally complain about a Department of Home Affairs official.

This morning I accompanied my daughter, her husband, and my grandchildren to the Department of Home Affairs - Nana Sita St Pretoria Tshwane. They wished to apply for their passports and unabridged birth certificates for the children.

A Department of Home Affairs official, Mr. Ntombi Rantoo, (under correction with name), a director, approached me, and in a loud voice to me ‘Just get out of this office’, in full view of other citizens, other DHA officials, general public outside, and my family. I felt so belittled, humiliated and insulted to be ask to leave a public government office. I politely left the building and stood outside. He followed me and further leveraged insults on me.

I am still in shock and disgust to be insulted in public like this. I, later, enquired from other officials to who is this person. Many refused to give me his name for fear of victimisation.

What wrong have I committed to deserve this kind of treatment. Been a disabled person, I could not even stand outside a government building in the sweltering heat.

I insist on a written explanation and apology.
