Poorly Service communication

Subject: Formal Complaint Poor Service at Home Affairs NAFCOC Dear Department of Home Affairs, I am writing to express my deep frustration regarding the poor service and lack of accountability at Home Affairs NAFCOC. We app**** for our Smart ID cards at the Home Affairs mobile unit stationed at Hebron Mall. At the time, we were informed that once ready, our IDs could be collected at our nearest branch, which is NAFCOC in Soshanguve. Recently, we received an SMS notification confirming that our IDs are ready for collection. The message did not state that a booking was required for collection. However, upon arriving at NAFCOC to collect, we were left standing outside unattended. To our frustration, other people were allowed to freely walk in and collect their IDs, while we were ignored and given no assistance. This treatment is unfair, unprofessional, and a violation of our rights as South African citizens. The Department is entrusted with serving the people, yet the current system at NAFCOC is abusive, discriminatory, and shows no regard for the dignity of the public. I strongly urge the Head of Department to personally visit this branch and address the ongoing issues. Citizens should not be made to suffer, waste their time, or feel disrespected when accessing a basic right such as identity documentation. We demand immediate intervention and corrective action to restore professionalism, fairness, and accountability at NAFCOC. Yours sincerely, [Petro Mashamaite]
