POOR SERVICE - HOME AFFAIRS!!! 16 MONTHS & NO MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE!!!

I app**** for a new unabridged marriage certificate at the Brakpan Home Affairs on 14 August 2019 and until today 15 December 2020 I have still not received it. I have written dozens of emails and made numerous phone calls to enquire and to request an escalation, all to no avail. I have even written to President and the Minister. The excuse that I am always given is that they are trying to find documents in the archives and that the matter has been escalated, but still no marriage certificate!!! I am at my wits end now as they don't even bother to respond to my emails anymore. I always attach the proof of application and other relevant information to the emails, so as to make it easier for them to follow up. It is not normal to wait longer than 16 months for a marriage certificate, this poor service by the state is unacceptable.
