Poor service *********** employees

On Tuesday 14th of January 2025 my sister went to apply for the smart card id at the Somerset home affairs department. On her arrival at the information desk the agent asked her who Kelvin Blaauw is. She responded that he is her ex husband whom she divorced almost 3 years ago. The agent informed my sister that according to the system she is still legally married. My sister was shocked to discovered that she is still married according to the home affairs system.

The agent than told her to proceed to another agent where she had to produced her final divorce decree. She was than told by this coloured female agent that copies were made of the divorce decree and sent off to Pretoria head office. She than informed my sister to return in 3 weeks time to check whether the marital status has been changed. Our main CONCERN here is!!!!!

WHAT IF SHE HAD TO GET MARRIED AGAIN? WHAT IF SHE PASSED ON HE WOULD HAVE CLAIMED HER ASSETS. HERE IS ALOT THAT COULD HAVE GONE EXTREMELY WRONG!!!! all because SOMEONE DIDN'T DO A PROPER JOB. This is the second time we are having issues with the department of home affairs and we are not happy at all. Her time was wasted, what if she never had to apply for the new ID card she would have never known that she wasn't divorced. This uprupted her whole life after going through a very traumatic divorce. We would appreciate answers here please. We want to know where this went wrong. We are approaching the media as this is a grusome discovery. How many other people must go through this. It's an absolute mess and disgrace!!!!!

Mentality and emotionally my sister is an absolute wreck after discovering this. She app**** for the new ID smart card. We want her surname also be changed on your side back to her ****en surname ASAP on this new ID application. I have attached all the proof. I feel who ever did this to my sister needs to apologize for the trauma caused.
