Please Adhere to the Batho Pele Principles

It is with regret that I have to post this complaint.<br> I visited the Home Affairs office in Paarl yesterday, 28 July 2015.<br> <br> The purpose for my visit was to apply for:<br> 1. A new Identity document for myself<br> 2. Birth certificate for my daughter<br> 3. Marriage Certificate<br> 4. And 3 passports <br> The reason for the above applications is due to the fact that my bag was ****** out of my vehicle (please refer to attached document - Annexure A date 2015-07-20).<br> I informed the cashier of the above and she told me that I have to pay double the tariff of R400.00 totalling to R800.00 per passport. I told her about my lost, she called her superior (a coloured lady with a black beanie on her head, don't know her name, I assume that she is the front desk supervisor), this lady told me that I just need to pay the R800.00, she afterwards indicate that she will call the Office Manager to assist.<br> The Office Manager came to assist me after almost an hour.<br> I explained to her my situation, she left and came back to me after 15 minutes, the Office Manager and the Coloured lady told me that I must just pay the R800.00. As a Manager I think that she should have made a decision based on the case at hand.
