Permanent resident application overdue for 3 years

<p>This is the third year of waiting for a permanent resident. Officially it was suppose to take less than 10 months but today here we are. No permanent resident visa, no one to take queries. <br />We have paid over 2.5 for different visa. One was work permit , second one permanent resident. We have since received the work spousal permit which will be expiring end of this year after two times of mistakes on it ( I don't understand how such stupid mistakes can be made.. *********** stuff... A story for other day).<br />This marks 6 years of our marriage in April, with two kids ( 4 year old girl and 15 months boy). <br />Home affairs doesn't answers, vfs refers you back to home affairs which has no contact details let alone contact person or enquiry department. <br />There is nothing frustrating than being tossed up and down with people who are not doing thier jobs as if they are doing us a favour.<br />Then you get to be asked a bribe price of R 26 000. For what???? We qualify to get such visa why pay 5 times more the amount of an application for something that's due to you??<br />For how long should we wait for the visa to come out?</p>
