PASSPORT NIGHTMARE

<p>My husband ID ********** 162082) app**** for his passport at Mossgas Home Affairs office 1 week ago. Our address is Melkhout Kraal Farm, Heidelberg, Western Cape, 6665. We receive an email yesterday to say the passport is ready at Heidelberg for collection. I called the contact centre on ********** 190 this morning at 10h30 and the lady who assists tells me that she can't do anything about it. We have to collect it at Gauteng! I have tried to call Heidelberg Gauteng Home Affairs on ********** 6333 and on ********** 782. The phone simply does not get answered and I am at my wits end!. How can they send it to Heidelberg Gauteng if you apply for it in the Western cape and your residence is in the Western Cape. To try and resolve this issue is an absolute nightmare. Can the head of Home Affairs please advise his staff that there is a Heidelberg in Gauteng and one in Western Cape! </p>
