Passport Application on eHomeAffairs wants to charge me double!

<p>I placed an order for anew maxi passport on the eHomeAffairs site because my existing passport is full.</p> <p>My existing passport expires in 2024 but the eHomeAffairs site has charged me double. R600 for a new maxi passport and an additional penalty fee for a passport expiring in less than 6 months. Clearly the penalty fee SHOULD NOT apply for me. I phoned the call centre and was told that I have to go to a Home Affairs office to sort it out which defeats the object!! I wanted to go to an FNB branch which is why I app**** online. Hoenstly this system does not work properly.</p>
