passport application neglected

I app**** for new passport on 24 March 2015 at the Centurion branch of Home Affairs. After not hearing anything I phoned to enquire on 12 May 2015, 7 weeks later, and told them I could lose my job if I do not immediately receive my new passport. Upon this enquiry I was informed that my application was still at the fingerprint department and they have forgotten about it. Within the next week they sent numerous requests to head office to esculate my application, none of which were responded to. My application is still at the fingerprint department and no progress has been made.
