Over charged on passport application

I came to the department of home affairs in Sebokeng on Thursday the 26/06/2025 coz that was my appointment date to do my passport coz my passport was full. When I went in to be served one of the staff told me that I had to be double the amount meaning I had to be R1200 instead of paying R600, so I asked why should I pay double the amount and I was told coz the passport has not expired yet so I tell her that the passport is in my passion and it full so after back and forth talking to her she asked someone and she was told that I only have to pay R600 but the problem was the person who was supposed to override was on leave and told to come back on Monday the 30/06/2025. That was not a problem but to my surprise when I got here in the morning I was told that that person has not returned yet and they don't know when they will come back. So I was left with no choice but to pay the double the amount as I can't keep coming here not knowing If I will be assisted or not my booking reference is YHO-LW253-5-APT
