No Service or Feedback

My current husband and I got married on the 9 Feb 18. When we went to Home Affairs to renew our ID's we were both told that the system shows both of us are still married to our previous spouses!! Impossible as I have been divorced about 9 years now and he has been divorced about 4 years. Home Affairs NEVER updated their system. We both sent them our Divorce certificates and ID's but after checking after every month thereafter, found it still had not been updated. I have personally emailed it to Home Affairs about 4 times already and never received a response. My husband has as well from his side. We are at wits end as our current marriage cannot be registered until Home affairs decide to update our details. The lady initially told us we can expect to wait about 2 months. Well it has now been 5! Service and feedback is pathetic. I also emailed a Manager of the Western cape but never received an answer either. I know we are not the only people. Should be hundreds of others out there with the same problem. My next option after this is CARTE BLANCHE. Maybe then we will get answers.
