No service from Home Affairs

I app**** for both my mothers and wifes unabridged by birth certificates on the 5/8/2018 but to date some 6 months ago still no resolution. My mother was born in SA and only has an old I’d card and number as she left SA some years ago and never app**** for a new I’d no. so I am doubtful in getting any assistance in this matter from Home Affairs.When you finally get through to HA just give you a reference no. and say they will escalate the matter. You can’t speak to anyone.No where else in the world do we get such shocking service which is totally unacceptable as it should not take more than 8 weeks to resolve.
