No ID second time around

On 04 July 2019 we app**** for our sons first ID at the Cape Town branch. We left super early so that we don't spend an entire day at their offices. I showed them my letter stating that I'm a kidney patient from my specialist and told them that I don't mind waiting, but am unable to stand for very long due to my condition. They were really nice about it. 2 weeks later I received an SMS to say that the relevant documents that were supposed to accompany my son's birth certificate was not with and we must go into Home Affairs again. This was really strange as I had the receipt from home affairs saying supporting documents included. I was unable to find someone to take me in that early to Home Affairs as well as couldn't get off from work because we were short staffed as well as me juggling the day I have to be at hospital. I then called in to Cape Town and they told me that my application is no longer valid and I will have to reapply. I asked if we could go to a Home Affairs office closer to home and they assured me that we could. On 28 February 2020 we went to the Wynberg Home Affairs offices. They first checked the system then told me he is not on the system and we can apply for my son. We once again had all supporting documents with us. She assured us that everything was sorted and left. We received an SMS saying that they had received our application....And to date we did not receive an SMS saying we can fetch the Id. We then called in...no answer...we emailed and received a response from N.Andrews. Last week he told me that my son's records are not reflecting and we must come in. We must tell the security that we are priority that way we wont be waiting in the long queues again. I explained that I'm a kidney patient and that I'm extremely high risk in this time of Covid. He assured me not to worry and to ask for him at the door. This morning when I phone, because we don't want to get there to find out that they're closed due to Coviď19...His attitude is all ****y. Telling me I must go back to Cape Town and the application for Wynberg is not showing at all. He did not tell me this last week. My son now has missed a day at school. I've had to take a days leave which I need to keep for my specialist visits. I also moved around my dialysis days because I found a driver who would take me to Wynberg and wait for us there. I'm so disappointed and disgusted in Home Affairs. All my son needs is an id to write his exams and get a casual job. I really don't know where to go from here.
