Name amendment application frustration 2 years down the line

I am very dissapointed and frustrated with our home affairs services.

In May 2017 I app**** for name amendment on my ID at the Centurion branch. To date my application has not been processed. Everytime I call the customer care I am told that the application is with a department that is supposed to effect the amendment.

I was told the application takes min of 9 months, today its been 2 years already and I get the same feedback from the customer care.
