Ms Sakawuli Bongiwe - South African Home Affairs

Presently, I am living in Egypt and to return to S.A is financially impossible for me. The South African Embassy is too far me and they would only ask me for documents I do not have with me. My dliemna was an Unabridged Marriage Certificate. In january 2023 I app**** for one at the Phalaborwa DHA. I commend the Phalaborwa Home Office for their excellent service they gave me during my application.

Unfortunately by the time I had to collect it I left South Africa. I wanted to remarry but could not do this without the Unaridged Marrage Certicate. Phoning DHA customer service was useless as no one picks up, emails have generic replies which made me very frustrated. I have tried online agencies to assist with the Unabridged Marriage Certificate but the cost was too much for me.

On a Friday evening I tried a number which i found online. It was very late and as iit is weekend I did not expect a reply at all, to my surprise I received a reply after 11pm. It was Ms Bongiwe Sakawuli District Manager of Cape Metro. In the time I was lisiasing with her, I found her to be the most honest, genuine and sincere person, she never lost her patience, she stayed calm and showed me empathy and compassion. She radiated stamina and her positive attitude gave me relief from the anxiety, frustration and mental heaviness of my ongoing query from February 2024. She rep**** to every message I sent to her. As a government official she made it her mission to restore hope and faith for me . SHE TAKES A JOB VERY SERIOUS.

I am truly grateful that government officials like her still exist. She showed excellent customer services as the District Manager for the Cape Metro DHA and deserves an award named ABCD
