Marital status still not updated - can’t remarry!

I got divorced last year. My documents have been submitted to Home Affairs on two occasions, but I’m STILL registered as married.

I wanted to marry my current partner recently but imagine my surprise when I discovered my marital status still reflects as married? My ex-husband also wants to remarry but cannot because his marital status, of course, also reflects as married.

My sister got married months after my divorce BUT HER marital status was promptly changed.

This is messing with our lives and preventing us from starting afresh.

Please change this ASAP. It is unacceptable that we have to wait this long for marital status to be changed.
