Marital status

When I was planning my 2nd wedding I found out that my status was never changed since I got divorce 33 years ago. In the beginning of April I supp**** certified copies of my divorce papers, which I had to obtain from the court, to Home Affairs. I have been phoning ever since begging for an update. The new marriage cannot be registered before my status has been changed. I am going on pension soon and need my new ID as nobody will except the old one. This has become a critical issue. The people at the call centre are very polite and repeat the same stories as it they have been brain washed and programmed.
