Major Upset by Home Affairs Somerset West Staff.

On the 3rd Nov I booked an appointment for the 09/11/2022 Online at Somerset West Det of Home Affairs & was confirmed. But to my shock surprise when I got there the security guy refused me entrance into their offices & directed me a very loooong line that I must join before I can enter inside, the guy told me they were busy with bookings for the 8th of Nov, So I must wait on the line until my name was called. The main aim of booking an app was to avoid waiting on the long lines so I could finish quickly & get out of their offices, so despite my online app I only entered their offices after 2pm, and only then I discovered that my app was cancelled cos I didn't show up. Another disappoint , so I had to follow normal procedures and start all over again, so by 4pm I was not finished and the ladies that was supposed to help us switched off their computerd & told us it's their know- off time and they need to go home. So they told us to call their manager who apparently left at 3pm without telling us that we would not be assisted & that we must come back the ff day . So to my disbelief the ladies left & went home & told us to come back some other days.

This is highly unacceptable & is a major upset by the dept of Home Affairs Somerset West Branch. I booked an appointment & took a day off from work so that I could get a new ID, but I did Not get the services expected, on top of that I lost a day's salary for nothing!

This is highly unacceptable!!!
