Let down by DHA

<p>My mother Cynthia Noliwaletu Mondi ID no. 520 ********** 083 was married to my father Mkhumbuzi Archibald Mondi ID no.520 ********** 087 in community of property.</p> <p>My father’s names were misspelt on his original ID and he was given a female ID number so he had it rectified in 1997 to Mkhumbuzi Archibalo Mondi ID no.520 ********** 088. He got married in 2000 to another women on the second ID and passed away in 2011. Problem is he was declared deceased on the second ID, which leaves my mother still regarded as married but her spouse ID no. doesn’t appear on her marriage certificate. Now she cannot buy property or have business contracts as they request her spouse signature. She has been to Eastern Cape Home Affairs but no one could help, she was then referred to HQ in Pretoria. We were assign a lady by the name of Hlamarisa Msengi 012 ********** to assist, we cant get hold of her. I wrote to Mayihlome Tshwete in July 2016 he assigned the case to Kgoeloefelo Mbungela who is also now not responding to emails.</p> <p>My mother is very old and this is taking a toll on her. What happens if she passes on (God forbid) we will be required to bring our father who is late.</p> <p>Somebody please help us.</p> <p> </p>
