ISSUING OF PASSPORT

<p>I did the online application and received an appointment for 14th March at FNB Menlyn. I went to Menlyn to finish the process with photos and fingerprints.</p> <p>When enquiring in April , the status showed pending. I received notification that my passport was ready for collection (end April). I went to Menlyn only to be told that my passport was at Edenvale Home Affairs. I went on the 2nd of May only to be told that the passport is not there and that i must come back in about two days. I went on the 4th of MAy were they told me that my passport has not yet been issued. I had to do everything from the beggining. I did the application again, with photos and fingerprints, my ref being: ECH-00004J43-4B048F-N </p> <p>My biggest concern is that i need my passport very urgently as my wife and i planned our Honeymoon for ****et. We are leaving on the 18th of May and i am yet awaiting my passport. I am daily in contact with Home Affairs, but cannot get an answer as to my application. I feel that this was not my fault as i did everything WELL IN ADVANCE, I feel that Department of Home Affairs must issue my passport on an URGENT BASIS as it was THEIR FAULT FOR EITHER NOT ISSUING OR LOSING MY APPLICATION as i cannot postpone our tip.</p> <p> </p>
