incorrect death certificates - no trace of amendments after 6-8 weeks

My parents passed away in July. Mom ****h) and Dad (15th). The undertaker took care of the death registrations @ Somerset West branch. Mom , passed away first, reads on her certificate, that was issued first, that she is a widow. And on my Dad's certificate ,it reads he was married. Now, 2 months later , after an amendment has been requested 17 July, nothing has been rectified. After countless calls to the DoHA, with several reference numbers, the call centre agents are so damned blasé and nevermind about the correction of it it. This morning, I received 2 missed calls from ***+***, and I called both numbers, which related to the DoHA- but the agent whom I spoke to was not concerned about my call / didn't bother checking what the reference I gave her was for, as firstly, she just said it was people from the marriage dept that tried to get hold of me , then she asked who is making the amendment, my response was ,it was me, then I was asked why Gawa Polman can't do it herself. If she had bothered to read that the amendment was for a death certificate , I probably wouldn't be so rude - but HOW CAN MY DECEASED MOTHER amend her own death certificate. I just hung up. Is there anyone that can assist me as a matter of urgency, as our lives cannot continue till we have the proper certificates.
