ID Document Collection for 2022 Matriculants - Home Affairs Umngeni Durban

I am very worried about the service we as the public are receiving from this branch. I have been to Home affairs 3 times to try and collect my daughters ID document but you stand in the long que until you are told to come back the following day. Last week my daughter missed school 3 times to collect her ID document only to be turned away on all 3 occasions. This is a person who is in matric and the ID is needed at school. I can not have a child miss school 3 times to stand in a que the whole day and be turned away because 'unfortunately' the office is closing. The service for this office is so horrible even the employees stand and talk to each other while we are waiting in that long que outside. Worse even us as parents are not allowed t collect ID documents for our kids. What does a person need to do in order to get service at the Home Affairs branch Umngeni Durban. Our kids cannot keep on missing school to collect ID documents only to get there and not be assisted.

How can you improve the collection service especially for matriculants?
