Homeaffairs Maponya Mall

I app**** for ID at Maponya mall. Had to book another appointment for collection. Unfortunately when I booked for collection I selected Soweto branch. I got to Maponya mall for my collection appointment and when I got to the door security told me I selected the wrong branch I was supposed to select Maponya or I have to go to Orlando East. I tried to explain to security that I app**** at Maponya so my ID is at Maponya. He was not interested but I can't blame him as he is a security guard doing what is not in his Job description. I know that the security was instructed to only let people on the list to come in and no one else. I've been there since 5am till 8am to be told I booked the wrong branch BUT my ID is at Maponya. Then security shows me a very long line of people without appointments. As upset as I was I couldn't take it out on security...... I'm not even supposed to be assisted by him as that is not even his job description

I went to a guy called Dakalo who is very visible and going around acting like he is listening to people. Later I found out he is the manager. He listened to me and said be patient they will help you. Dakalo had the same answer for everyone "be patient they will help you"

It's like he was told to just be visible. He gets tired by just walking around and doing nothing. I still don't understand why the booking system requires you to choose a time which homeaffairs does not adhere to. No apology or explanation on why you select a time for appointment but still spend the day there. I still don't understand why a security guard is used to run the appointment list which he knows nothing about. Homeaffairs uses same system as SARS but you get opposite service there. SARS adheres to appointment time and they are hardly offline. I'm only venting here and I doubt anyone will do anything Even the staff working inside are unprofessional and don't respect clients or themselves

I guess no one cares because it's in the township and they know no one will complain

Service at Maponya is bad and keeps getting worse. It's sad how the government doesn't care
