HOME AFFAIRS SA - OFFLINE

I am extremely unhappy with the service and status of the Home Affairs Department in South Africa, specifically the Cape Town Branch. They updated their system over the weekend and their system is still offline nationally. When at Home Affairs they say that we must go to another branch, but when we do they are also offline. We have had to take 3 days off work in a row to try sort out documentation that is urgently needed. When trying to call the Call Centre and the various Home Affairs offices in Western Cape no one answering the phone. This is completely unacceptable. They need to let people know when the system will be back online, yet they just ignore any query relating to this. Not everyone can afford to take so many days off work to sort their documents out. No show at work means no pay, I especially feel sorry for those that cant afford to not get paid each day to survive. Home Affairs really needs to improve their communications s****s and not to just ignore important queries.
