HOME AFFAIRS NOT FOR THE PEOPLE

Ii dont even feel 1 star is appropriate. I know I'm wasting my time because its a government department and no-one seems to care about that fact. When you wait in a que for hours and hours in the blazing heat and finally get to the front of the que only to not be helped because of a security lady who feels that the colour of your skin means you are willing to waste more time. No-one seems to know what is actually going on at home affairs and a simple question cannot be answered. if you get there the gates are locked and everyone is unsure as to were to be standing. then after standing for many hours some people get dropped off at the gate make a quick call and security comes to open for them and no concern for the people outside that have been waiting for assistance. how is it that a service from a government department is so badly run. a simple thing like applying for a passport or verification of finger prints resulted in a 3 hour wait only to still not be served. there are some people that were in the que from 6 am and by the time we left after 3 pm had still not been assisted. shame on the entire department for the lack of service delivery and the most laughable thing about it all is the minibus that stands in the yard with the catch phrase "HERE TO HELP" I call complete BS on that. I say again i know I'm wasting my time because its a government dept. but surely there are more people very dissatisfied with the NO service at home affairs
