Home Affairs NO RESPONSE

Good Day, The service at the dept of home affairs (Pretoria) is atrocious. I have been waiting more than a year for feedback on my daughters name change/noting of the adoption/new birth certificate etc. All our documents and payments were done in Oct 2019 at the Home Affairs office in Barrack Str, Cape Town.

I have sent numerous emails since the beginning of 2020 to the following addresses with NO RESPONSE not even an acknowledgment. I have also called the call centre on numerous occasions and had to be on hold for 1 hour+ on some days and have to listen to very irritating music and some women's voice (Telling me how valued my call is) -

While i understand that a lot of services were hindered by COVID19 that still does not excuse the No Response. Are our goverment services not suppose to be up and running. PLEASE can someone give me feedback ASAP.
