<div>I was disappointed today when I visited Home affairs Maponya Mall. 18 January 2023. I booked on line to do my son's ID while I was still at home for Holidays I'm from Durban but based in Soweto. So I had to come with my Son to apply for his Smart ID. And they sent me back with these two forms. 1. REQUEST FOR EXTRACT FROM SCHOOL RECORDS 2. REQUEST FOR EXTRACT FROM BIRTH RECORDS.

honestly, I was so surprised cause I had his birth certificates and my ID and my ID number was there on his Birth certificates. Why I was sent back then. I need someone from home affairs to come and explain this now I have to travel to KZN just to fill this document's cause only hospital refuse to fill them , the lady from Mandeni Clinic eSundumbili Mrs Mkhize the supervisor at labour ward refuse to fill this forms and scan it back to me. But at his school didn't have problem. Serious why people making our life difficult seriously. These forms should be given to someone who doesn't have a birth certificate at all. But everything is there but I have to travel back to kzn why Technology was introduced to us as black People if we can't use it. Ayi mani kuyadlalwa ngathi. For someone who's unemployed going up and down for the this that the department should verify on their side if they have to. I really don't understand this who ever implemented it akacabanganga serious . I'm not at all .</div>
