Home affairs just useless

After standing all day in a freezing parking garage to apply for my son's passport (observing covid protocol which actually is very detrimental to one's wellbeing). Six hours later after getting there at 0550 application done. We stay four hours from Cape Town so asked the child's grandmother to collect it when ready. The useless home affairs officer after a two hour wait told her that the person has to collect it themselves. I can't tell you how much I detest this country's pathetic government and civil service.
