Home Affairs' ignorance to my situation

I have been applying for an ID book since 2018. They requested I bring my biological mother to apply for the ID and when I did they said I was not in the system. It appears as if I do not have a mother and they advised me to apply for an unabridged birth certificate. I did as requested and when I returned a few months later, they claimed that it still does not appear on the system so I had to apply again on the 22nd of September 2020. I have been checking with the Khayelitsha Department of Home Affairs since last year and they still have not issued me my unabridged certificate. As a result I cannot get my ID, apply for schools or any kind of employment opportunities. This poses as a big set back on my progress as an unemployed individual because I do not qualify to apply for anything without an ID book.
