Home affairs ID card

My daughter went to home affairs menlyn pretoria for her ID card in January 2025 its now December 2025 she still hasn't received her ID card as she is going to matric in 2026 and the school will be needing her ID card I'm at menlyn home affairs right now and they said her ID is card is not ready yet and she will maybe get iy only end of January next year they are not sure, how ironic this is unacceptable and I am getting really frustrated with this she is 17 how long does it take to do her ID a year this is not appropriate and I am disappointed with South Africa home affairs system
