Home Affairs Chatsworth
I have to give credit where it is due. The Chatsworth Home Affairs branch is managed by 2 live wires, Presh and Ahmed, who tirelessly work from the time the gates open to the close of day. No matter what they're dealt with, they quickly find their footing and get to work, to articulate to their staff, and more importantly to the patrons, their honest plan of action for the day. This empowers all involved to get the wheel turning and see the light at the end of the tunnel. More than just doing their jobs in leading the pack, they're patient with the uninformed and the elderly, pointing them in the right direction. As I've witnessed, this comes with great sacrifice of not taking breaks to ensure the publics needs are addressed at best as possible. In my opinion, 90% of government departments, especially managers of departments, should take their cue from these 2 to help bring synergy to failing systems. No airs and graces, just getting the job done is their motto. I'm very pleased to have been to this branch and would certainly return for future service requirements.
It is also important to note that certain infrastructure and daily intake limits as well electronic and phone line constraints are out of the branches control but are at the mercy of the provincial budget and protocol. It is advisable to ensure that you arrive early, during peak periods, possibly by 3-4am to ensure you make the daily number by the 8am count. Hopefully this will improve with time, nationally.
