HOME AFFAIRS AFTER 18 YEARS HAS NOT DONE THEIR JOB.

18 years ago I got divorced 2005. Till now I cannot get home affairs to update my status. I got remarried by a private company 14 years later. Then my 2nd marriage could not be updated as I was still married on the system. 8 years later my husband left me, I am entitled to spouse maintenance. But I cannot get any form of maintenance as home Affairs has not corrected anything on the system. I have visted Alberton branch more times than I an count. Given copy after copy. NO HELP. got hold of Beeld newspaper to help me. A very nice lady Karla got somone at Home Affairs Cecelia Mogashoe. I was asked to submit x then y then x and this has carried on for months. I am a senior citizen with limited funds. Then I was told the divorce decree not stamped. I had to find funds to travel from Benoni to high court. To get after 18 years a stamp. On line verification to prove I am who I say I am. Months later, still no help. Still married after 18 years been divorced. When I was on 12th floor at court, a lady said about 50 people a week if not more come to them because home affairs does not do their job. I told her I was getting help from the Beeld newspaper, her comment was people cannot move on in life, Home Affairs , does not do their job. She is right, I am married to two men now.
