i am trying to get my son his first smart id card-he is 17.He needs this for various reasons but particularly for writing matric next year. i went to the dha in atlantis.i spent 5 hours in the queue and eventually had to leave as it seemed hopeless and i hadnt even got to the entrance.At one point the security guard offered to push us up in the queue and asked me what i what give them if he did that ie a bribe.We left at 1 pm after being there since 7 am. i then tried to book it online ,on the dha site and do it via nedbank.We managed to navigate the very poorly laid out dha site and finally got a booking .I once again took my child out of school to go to nedbank and once again stood in a queue only to be told that the server was down.I am trying to do the correct thing by getting this done and its seems like everything is against us.Atlantis was in a shocking state-******* lying everywhere,the toilets were disgusting and the staff were disorganised and clearly open to bribery.Things could so easily be improved:signage for which queue to stand and documentation required etc booking slots(like worcester ).None of these would be costly and they would make this far more efficient.I still dont know what to do and am at a loss as to how to get my sons id!!!
