Helpless

I app**** for a number of documents 3 months ago at the Roodepoort Home Affairs and have had no feedback. I decided to go to their offices personally and find out whether my documents were ready. I was advised that my unabridged birth certificate and my parents marriage certificate was ready. My own marriage certificate was not. I then again waited patiently. On receipt of the two documents it read that my father was born in Berlin, ENGLAND on my birth certificate and born in Germany on his marriage certificate????? How can it be? There is no Berlin in England - this is apparently a database error and not a typo so they cannot help me!! The German Embassy requires these documents in order for me to apply for my German Passport they will NOT accept this document. I advised the consultant that there was an error on my certificate to which I was advised that I would need to go to Pretoria Head office to have it changed and it would take approximately a year to have it done......what on earth does a person do!!!! I am absolutely dumbfounded!!! We are threatened by extremists that we must leave the country or else but we cant because the documents we need in order to leave are not correct.....what on earth! Absolutely helpless and at my wits end!
