Great service at Home Affairs

I went to the Randburg office for a passport renewal and new ID document. OK - as a pensioner, I was given preferential treatment, but the service was excellent. The queue manager was extremely pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. The system was based on ticket numbers so it didn't matter where you sat. But within an hour I had had my photos taken, details updated and payment effected. Within a couple of hours after that, I received e-mail confirmation of receipt of my application. Altogether an unexpectedly pleasant and efficient experience.
