Fed up citizen
<p>Not that it matters but I feel the need to #JustPutItOutThere for the 3rd time today I am returning to this department, as much as they are @ work doing their jobs they need to understand that we also left our jobs to come do applications.</p> <p> </p> <p>As much as the government is focused on upgrading their systems, introducing new procedures now and then, they also need to focus on improving their employees services, government officials are the face of the country, they represent the government, they need to be professional and willing to assist all the time like they state on their service charter that they will treat us with courtesy and ensure we spend as little time as possible in the office (not the whole day)</p> <p> </p> <p>I believe there are people who have experienced worse service @ the offices in this instance I am referring to the kempton park home affairs in particular, the officials are not the friendliest people to talk to, 1 even becomes scared to ask, they are not polite nor patient, they snap.</p> <p> </p> <p>On the 10th of October I went to the kempton park office to get a replacement ID, I had to go make an affidavit, when I returned to the office it was 11:45 I was told to leave as the photo machine was not working, the following Saturday I went back, around 09-10 they cut the line saying the system is slow.</p> <p> </p> <p>Today the 01st of November, I am here again since morning, it is now 12:34 and seems I am far from being done, we just wait in the long queues and no one cares to let us know what's happening when u ask they say "I system I offline/slow" and that is their best answer I am sure they were trained to say that.</p> <p> </p> <p>We finished@ the photo booth and are told to go to counter 1, we sitting @ counter 1 and it does not look like there is anyone who is going to assist, so I decide to ask what's happening and the response I get is "uhambile umuntu wakhona" when I ask I am being told "ukhona u Sisi lo uyasiza, naloya uyasiza" but we don't see anyone assisting.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is bad, if we not going to be taken serious by our government officials, people that are supposed to protect us then who will take us serious?</p>
