Disgusting

<p>So I heard that home affairs is a nightmare and that you would be in queus for ours.Thus I arrived at 6 in the morningt o stand and wait for opening time at 8am.I was about 7th in the queu.I had to get back to work A.S.A.P. This all for passport renewal.At 8 we could move in.There is no indication about were you are supposed to go or what to do next.After I paid R400 for renewal of passport I had to stand in line for a number.Eventually my number got called and I was supposed to go to a photo booth for passport photos.The cameras mulfunctioned or something...of to another booth.After that i had to sit and wait for my number to be called again.Eventually it got called.Then the scanner thing that is supposed to scan my ticket does not work.The supervisor had to be called to ovveride the scanner.She was nowhere to be found.At long last she made an appearance.I was finished.Horay! It only took 3 and a half hours!!!Means I was there for 5 hours and I was 8th in the queu.Behind me was a queu of probably 60 people.At that pace they will never be helped!!The whole system is a complete failure just like all our government organisations.This was at department home affairs Roodepoort.They only have 2 counters working on passports and ID's.There is a lot more counters with nobody behind them.So beware if you go for Id or passport you will be lucky if you could be helped in a day!</p>
