DHA incompetence

I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment regarding the delay in processing my amendment application at the Department of Home Affairs.

I app**** for amendments on 21 April 2025 at Makhado Biaba while I was still residing in Limpopo. The amendment was simply to add an additional name, yet it has now been over a year and months without any finalisation or meaningful feedback regarding my application.

Since submitting the application, I have made multiple follow-ups at the office(makhado Biaba), only to repeatedly be told that the application is still “in progress.” What makes the situation even more frustrating is that I am now residing in Johannesburg, meaning I am expected to travel all the way back to Limpopo merely to receive the same response each time.

As a citizen who paid for this service, I find this level of delay and lack of communication unacceptable. There appears to be no clear update system, no accountability, and no indication that the matter is actively being attended to. The excessive delay raises serious concerns about whether anyone is actually working on my application.

I kindly request urgent intervention in this matter, clear communication regarding the status of my application, and immediate steps toward finalising the amendment process without requiring unnecessary travel and inconvenience.

Please treat this matter with the urgency it deserves,I paid for this service!!!
