Department of home affairs VAN ROOYENS GATE (WEPENER)

On the 01 May 2018 we took a walk to our farm called CAVALLO near Lesotho,we reported to the police officer at the border(VAN ROOYENS GATE WEPENER),On our return before we even reached the main gate we were appro***** by an official ()being very rude telling us how she is going to arrest us claiming we jumped the fence from LESOTHO.We tried to explain but the more we talked the more she told us she is doing her job,we asked her to take us to the police station so the police officer can explain to her where we coming from ,she refused telling us she is going to arrest us.On our way to the office we were all calling the police guy we reported to, to come rescue us,Little did we know when we enter the office the other official got involved in the whole scenerio.she was worse than her superior we tried explaining that we not from Lesotho they kept telling me that today im going to loose my job as they know i am a bank official.The official (a lady)kept saying she is very dissappointed in me how could i jump the fence to Lesotho.The kids we were with were very traumatised we also felt like we were ********* When i told that official to please call the police officer we reported to she told me that all police officer at the border are ****** and they take bribes and it might happen that i also paid him bribe.Finally the police officer came in and explained the same thing to the officials.Thats when they let us go and they took one of the lady we were with to check if she was a south african citizen.We did not take our Identity documents as we knew we not going to cross any border as the farm is in south africa. Im very disturbed with the treatment we got from those two officials.(ladys)

We were treated badly and we ask a serious action to be taken against this officials and a written apology from both of them for humulating us and wasting our time.

The matter was not referred to the office manager as when i call in they told me the office manager is the same person im logging a complaint against.
