Department of Home Affairs Umngeni Road

The worst service ever, my son went to apply for his ID document on the 03 January 2019 and we were notified to bring "supporting documents" along and that was done on the 05 February 2019.We have yet waited for his ID documents since the 05th Feb till this very point as it is 28 March to get an sms sms saying we can come for collections. My son is doing Matric and the school he goes to is very strict in regards to ID documents for matriculates. I have called in to check if the document is ready for collection but the only answer I got from their "highly qualified staff" is that we need to wait for 20 working days for the document to be ready for collection. It's been more then 20 working days and still he can't get his ID document. If the systems are not offline than another excuse will come to place making us wait for longer... It is very frustrating because the time frame period has passed for over a month now but nothing is happening. We've wasted airtime and transportation money to go and check but still left in the dark with the drastic replies we would receive from the people employed at the Home Affairs by Umngeni Road. Is this how the staff is trained to assist us???? Shall I await for my son to kicked out of school cause he won't write any further exams without his ID document?? His future is left at the hands of those who don't care at about the consequences of the department actions. VERY DISAPPOINTING AND UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE.....
