Department of Home Affairs, Umgeni Road, Durban

This is a massive complaint about the shoddy disorganization of the main Dept of Home Affairs in Umgeni Road Durban. It is an absolute disgrace that as from March 2020, they are not operational, using Covid-19 as an excuse. What is city management including our Mayor doing about this, can temp staff not be brought in, must it be a complete shutdown indefinitely, people have paid upfront, and continue to pay for transport to go there, only to be turned away, we need our documents, why not send it to the nearest police stations for collection, surely in this day and age and advanced technology - there must be a solution !! Come on Government departments - catch a wake up! We wonder why our civil services are the most inefficient in the world,
