Department of Home Affairs: Permanently Offline in all branches
I have had the most ********** visits to 2 different branches that were offline on both occasions that I went. I filled in my forms electronically, on Monday 23rd September at 4 am I arrived at the Tongaat branch, stood in the queue from 4 am to be allowed inside at 08 h 15 then to be told that they are offline and cannot do anything. I left at 12 pm as they were still offline. Today at 4 am I stood at the Commercial Road branch and was only allowed inside after 10 am and then told that they are offline and can't do anything about it. I left at 2 pm because they were still offline. How does Home Affairs operate if their systems are offline in all branches on any given day? What sort of IT infrastructure do they have that they are offline almost permanently? It makes no sense at all. I have paid and booked for an overseas trip but I have no passport, imagine that.
